Who would be the audience for your media product?
The audience for my thriller product would be action fans, teenagers and thriller fans. The reasons for the selection of audiences would be because the main actor of the thriller is a teenage boy who is fleeing from someone who the audience are not presented to, the factor that a teenager is in the film makes it a film who will target teenagers, the reality of things is that urban teenage films would mostly appeal to a working class audience as they can relate the the things in the title sequence being chased by someone). The fact that there is a feel of violence in the title sequence suggests that there will be action scenes later in the film. The boy kicking the gate open supports this hypothesis. The last scene when the pursuer finally caught up with our victim caught the audience by surprise and thus making our product attractive to thriller fans. Our product is a merged action, thriller, teenage film, this suggests that our product will have a massive audience from different types of class backgrounds, as the middle class would like to see what working class teenagers in the hood have to put up with.
